Try on Wedding Dresses Online
Hello all newly engaged brides, I hope your wedding planning process has been stress free so far. Well today I think I will speak on one of the most daunting aspects of being newly engaged; "finding the perfect dress."
“The BRIDES Dressing Room and Beauty Salon take online shopping to a whole new level, helping even the busiest bridal parties determine their wedding-day style to make confident and informed purchasing decisions. Virtual try-ons allow brides and bridesmaids the opportunity to vet their style in the privacy of their own homes allowing for a more focused shopping experience when they arrive in stores,” said BRIDES VP, Publisher Carolyn Kremins on long island press.com
Use brides.com's Dressing Room tool to virtually try on wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride dresses.
Step 1: Take Your Picture
Choose a photo of yourself against a plain, light-colored background (like a door, for example) dressed in something very formfitting (like a swimsuit or shapewear). You'll want to keep your shoulders bare, so pull your hair back and tuck in any straps. If you don't, you'll see them under the dress.
Step 2: Upload Your Photo
Once you've signed up for an account on Brides.com, log in and visit the BRIDES Dressing Room, and upload your photo from your computer. (Don't worry! No one but you can access this picture.)
Step 3: Adjust the Fit Points (Read: Teal Dots)
If you need to, click and drag any of the eight teal dots until they are placed exactly on the outline of your shape. The positioning of these "fit points" determines where the dress fits your body.
Step 4: Try on Dresses
You're ready to hit the dressing room! Try them all, or search by silhouette, price, designer, and hemline.
When you click on a dress you want to try on, it will automatically fit to your body. To adjust the fit of the dress, click on "Fit" in the gray navigation bar. The teal dots will appear, and you can click and drag them in order to get the perfect fit.
Once you find dresses you like, click on "Find a Salon Near You" to see them in person. (Note: You may need to make an appointment at the salon.)
Step 5: Save, Share, and Invite
Save your favorite looks in your "Saved Looks" album. Share them via Facebook, Twitter, and email. Invite your bridesmaids and mom to visit the BRIDES Dressing Room — they can virtually try on bridesmaid dresses and mother-of-the-bride dresses, too. In fact, you can style all of your bridesmaids right from your computer!
Once everyone has gotten over asking you the question "have you picked a date?" then they move on to "have you found a dress yet?" With so many dress options out there, you might feel like you are lost in a sea of white.
I have some good news for you, there is a wonderful site out there called brides.com that helps to narrow down the process for you. The site helps brides try on a ton of gowns on a virtual version of themselves.
Below are instructions from Brides.com

You can also ask your bridesmaids to use this site to find their dress style |

I know this is not the answer to all your wedding planning needs, but it will certainly help you get on track with the dress shopping. My biggest advice while you search is be open, don't rule anything out until you have tried it. You never know what will surprise you. Take your time and find what you love but don't take too much time because it can get confusing. In the end remember just like you found your man and stopped looking, once you find your dress, stop looking!

Tell me, will you consider going to try on dresses online before you go to the stores?

Destination Minnesota
I always wonder who is more eager to see the picture and video highlights of a RAE Affairs weddings, the couple or the RAE Affairs team? I am sure the correct answer here is the coupleJ; however, I know I am always excited when I get an email with wedding pictures or videos.
Below I have posted a video link to a destination wedding in Minneapolis Minnesota that RAE Affairs had the privilege of planning on August 20th 2011. When I think of Ronke and Aaron’s wedding all I can do is smile because of how beautiful their day was. They are truly an amazing couple, and I hope you get to see a glimpse of their day from the wonderful video below put together by MyGuy Media.
Thanks for watching!

RAE wedding Ameze and Julius Video Highlights
I get so excited when I see video highlights to my events, because sometimes things go so fast and at the end of the night I feel like "it's over already? Can we do this again in slow motion? :)" Ameze is a dear friend of mine and when she got engaged I was thrilled at the opportunity to plan her wedding. Ameze had some unique ideas, she is really a one of a kind bride "amazing Ameze" as I love to call her. I had too much fun at Ameze and Julius wedding and I hope you enjoy watching this video of her highlights as much as I did.
Thanks to all the vendors that made this day special, and thank you to Kauri Media for this lovely highlight video. I will post the wedding pictures soon and include the name and information of all the fantastic vendors.
Enjoy the video and thank you to the couple again for letting RAE Affairs plan your big day.

1920's Inspired Wedding Video Highlights
From the first time I met with Yinka and Tolu about their wedding in 2010 they knew exactly what theme they wanted; which was a 1920's themed wedding. They are a very unique couple that love that era, and wanted to incorporate bits and pieces of that time into their big day. I am very happy for the lovely couple, no one can deny the love and passion they have for each other and I wish them both all the best in marriage.
Enjoy their video highlights from the wedding by Kauri Media my favorite video professionals, they captured the couples vision excellently well. I will post the wedding pictures soon and include the name and information of all the wonderful vendors.

RAE F&F April 30th 2011 Wedding Pictures
It was a blast planning and coordinating Femi and Folarins wedding which took place on April 30th 2011 in Baltimore. Thanks to my assistant RAE planners Sola and Gboyinde for making the day happen. Below is a link for photos posted by the official photographer for the event Tunji Sarumi, who by the way I think is an amazing photographer (his work speaks for its self). Enjoy
