Love in August

I met the lovely couple a month before they got engaged at a social event I planned over the winter. Tayo's girlfriend at the time Bimbo was so sweet even though we only exchanges casual hellos. Of course as a planner I gave her my card and told her to call me whenever she got engaged. A month later I got a call from her with some engagement news; we had one meeting and we began planning right away. A year and and four months later and their wedding day was here; August 11 was a truly beautiful day for a very deserving couple.

The couple had a "First Look"

The Bride really wanted to incorporate the memory of her loving mother at the wedding without having a very sad moment. She has a remembrance candle lit at the entrance of the reception and guests wrote a note in the book of remembrance. *Special Moments*

The Battle for the Bouquet

Thank you Bimbo and Tayo, it was an amazing experience planning your wedding.

As always I love to acknowledge all the vendors for being part of making it a success

Bridal Shower

It is the tradition for the bridesmaids to plan the bridal shower, and my sisters were all over it. I had two bridesmaids and one maid of honor; they were all my sisters and they were absolutely caring and amazing through the whole process. They were so excited about putting together a fun shower for me; and with all their excitement I too started to get excited about. In true fashion of an event planner, I started to get very involved in the early stage of planning and some how I meddled my way into helping them put it all together.

I thank my sisters for not shutting me out of the "bridal shower planning process" and for letting me "the planner"enjoy planning along with them :). We decided to have a brunch affair and there was no better location than the beautiful Mrs. K's Toll House in Silver Spring Maryland. It turned out to be such a memorable day filled with fun, food, laughter, great friends and family.

Enjoy the pictures below :) and call RAE Affairs to plan your next bridal shower

I asked my finance (husband now) to design the menu cards....he is the best

My adorable sisters, I wonder what was so funny?
I was so glad my darling mother was able to make it

Balance the spoon on one leg, this was fun

 The food was excellent
