You might have heard some reasons why you need an event planner, some of which might consist of you not having enough time to plan, or the right experience. While some of these are true, there are some reasons you should not take for granted. This topic can go on for days, and there will still be more posts on our blog in the future addressing different aspects of why an event planner is necessary (Like: I know the vendors I want to use-Do I still need a planner?); however consider this major point below again, before ruling out getting an event planner in the early stages of planning, especially for large events.
· Addendums and Negotiations: An experienced planner knows how to negotiate deals, but more important, an event planner knows how to include addendums. There are some individuals that are master negotiators naturally, but for events, negotiation is not just about requesting discounts. The knowledge of important addendums are the heart of the negotiation table before signing contracts.
In other documents, most importantly in contracts, an addendum is an additional document not included in the main part of the contract which may contain additional terms, specifications, provisions, standard forms or other information. Addendums are mostly useful when signing contracts for large groups at hotels and conference centers. Hiring an event planner will save you money, time, stress, and possible lawsuits. At REA Affairs, we understand the importance of protecting our clients and getting them the best deals with venues; which has only been possible because of our experience in the event planning industry and our knowledge of the right addendums.
